Affiliate disclosure

Short version: some links on this site earn me a commission. The price you pay doesn’t change. I only link to things I actually use.

Here’s the longer version.

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, I may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. This is one of the ways a free site pays for its own hosting.

What that means in practice:

  • I only recommend tools and products I actually use in my own house, and I’ll tell you honestly what they do badly, not just what they do well. If a post says something didn’t work, that stays in the post… commission or not.
  • Affiliate relationships never decide what I write about. The content comes first; if an affiliate program happens to exist for something I already use, I join it.
  • Every post containing affiliate links says so at the top of the post, before the links, per FTC guidelines.
  • Sponsored content, if it ever appears here, will be labeled clearly as sponsored. As of July 27, 2026, there isn’t any.

Current affiliate relationships: none yet. As programs activate, they will be listed here.
